The Dreaded 7 Week Break...

It came. The break from school between spring and fall semesters. It is 7 weeks long, but it seems a lot longer. Jake stayed in Rexburg and I went home to Nampa. That's 4 1/2 hours away (and that's if you're going 85 the whole way). To get us through the break, we talked on the phone and then we discovered this wonderful invention called Skype. Actually we knew about it before and I had used it many times before to talk with my family but Jake's computer had died and he hadn't gotten a new one yet so we could only talk on the phone. To make matters worse, Jake worked for a company building potato sheds for 9-10 hours a day in the middle of no where with no cellphone service. That means that I got to talk to him at night only and by the time he got home and showered and ate something it was 10:00 and he had to go to bed around 10:30 so he could get up at 6 the next morning and do it all over again. Needless to say that job wasn't a favorite for either of us. We did talk everynight at least so that was nice and when we got skype it was even better because we could see each other and talk at the same time. He didn't know that I took all these pictures while we were talking. :)

This one is first because it is my favorite :) He makes me so happy :)

Look at that smile :) I love it :)

I must have said something really funny because he laughed for a while after this :)

I missed him a lot :(

He came to see me a couple of times and I went to see him a couple of times too. It was good but saying goodbye sucked. It was really hard for me to get back on my shuttle and come back home and him stay in Rexburg. Skype is great but it is also horrible because you get to see the other person but you can't hug them or be right there with them and that sucks. But it is better than just talking on the phone that's for sure :)

Harry Potter Premier

Jake, my roommate Aimee and I all went to the Harry Potter 7 Part 2 Premier together. I was Hermione, Aimee was Bellatirx and Jake was a Muggle.

Aimee makes one heck of a good Bellatrix

Doesn't Jake look so thrilled to be there? :)

What a sweetie!

One morning, right before we were going to go on a double date with some friends, Jake went out by R Mountain and picked some flowers for me that we had seen the day before. He printed off a note with one of my favorite quotes on it and a little note from him. He left it on my doorstep, left and then told me to go look outside. I opened the door expecting him and instead got these beautiful flowers! So much better than some store bought arrangement if you ask me!

I went home for the weekend and when I got back home, Jake had left a little present for me. He even got my favorite candy and everything! Isn't that so thoughtful? :)

Kelly Canyon

We went up to Kelly Canyon one day. It is super pretty up there.

Fishing!

My fishing pole :)

Jake making such a cute face while stringing my fishing pole

Oh yeah! Too bad there weren't any fish that day.

So Jake, Nathan and I went fishing one night and we had to climb down a MOUNTAIN to get to the fishing spot. Ok, ok so maybe it wasn't quite a mountain but it was definately quite a climb to get down to the spot. My legs started hurting so bad when we went down and even more when we came back up to the truck. But it was all well worth it. I caught my first ever fish and we cooked it up that night. It was yummy, let me tell you.
Hey guess what! There's a fish on the end of that pole! My first fish ever!

I'm so excited!

Looks pretty good huh? :)

Shooting!!!

My first time shooting. I liked the 22 rifle the best as you can see.

We went to the Civil Defense Caves on a date. It was pretty fun. I out-shot a couple of the guys. :)

 Look at that form :)
Jake thought this was an awesome picture. I must say I would have to agree, it looks pretty cool.

2 weeks later

About 2 weeks after we met, we started dating. He took me up to a hill on his dirt bike where some fields are and asked me to be his girlfriend while watching the sunset. Awww how sweet right? I thought so ;) This picture is from about a week later.

How we met

The first weekend of the Spring 2011 semester our ward had a temple trip. Jake and Tyrel went around to all the girl's apartments and asked if anyone needed a ride up to the temple. My roommate Aimee and I needed a ride, so Jake came and got us Saturday morning. We went up to the temple and afterwards, Tyrel and Jake invited us to have breakfast at their house. We accepted and went home to shower and change (we took a shower and were dressed in 10 minutes. A personal best for both of us.) We went to their house and ate breakfast and talked for almost 3 hours! Since that day, we have not spent a day apart except for when I went home for a weekend and during the 7 week break between the Spring and Fall semesters. :)
