Two More Days

The time has finally come!

Only two more days until we move back to Rexburg! WooHoo!!! Jake's last day of work is tomorrow and then we leave bright and early Saturday morning! We have loved living with my family but it is definitely time to get back into our own place. We are very excited to have more than just one room where we pile all of our things. :) Anyway, I just wanted to get that out.

I am not excited however, about the actual move. Packing stuff into boxes and then into our cars is not what I would call fun but it has to be done so that is what I am going to be doing for the next two days. And the thought of driving across the state in a car with no AC and only 1 window that opens....I can't wait! I will be finishing up the projects I have started while being here (my poor brown shirt has been neglected far too long haha) and then it's packing time!

I had better get off of here and get to work!

You'll Pee Yourself

Well hello my faithful blog followers (haha yeah right, I've got like...2....maybe. But that's beside the point).
I came across the funniest thing today while reading one of the blogs that I follow and I just wanted to share it with you because it really made my day.

So I follow the blog www.hopesmilingbrightly.com (it's amazing, I highly recommend jumping on over and reading the entire thing. This woman is the epitome of Strength if you ask me) and on it the lady made a post about this wonderful new invention that she has come across called the 571B Banana Slicer. She raved about it a little and then told us to head over to amazon to check out the reviews for it. Well, I didn't think much of it and thought she was merely promoting a product that she liked. Little did I know! Today she posted that yesterdays post had been a joke and that you REALLY need to go read the reviews for this banana slicer because it will make you "fill your Depends" as she put it. So, intrigued, I went to investigate, and what did I find? The funniest reviews of a product I have ever read! Seriously, click here to go to the webpage and read the review about the 27 monkeys. You won't regret it!

In other news, only 4 more days until we are moving back to Rexburg!!! :D We are so stinkin' excited! We will be leaving here early (hopefully) Saturday morning and getting to Rexburg that afternoon and the spending the rest of the day going to and from our storage unit retrieving all of our precious belongings, like our bed, couches, table. And all the rest of the things we stuffed in there because we wouldn't need them. We talked our friend Jason Perry (aka Perry) to help us move some of our stuff in and it is gonna be great to see him again! He was Jake's old roommate but we haven't seen him since December. Anyway so it will be great to see him and it will be AWESOME to get back into our own apartment with our own things. Jake is so ready to be done with work. He likes it there a lot but he is ready to be back on the other side of the state.

And more other news, my Sister-in-Law Madaline is having a baby like pretty much any day now! Well, ok i guess technically she's not due for another week or more but I can't wait for her to have her baby! I love her son Landon so much already I can't wait to see what this new little boy will do to me! I have to admit that I am incredibly baby hungry so I will get to hang out with this brand new baby and hopefully it will help with that! Yay!

Ok well, I will quit my ranting. I mostly just wanted to tell you about those reviews because they are probably the funniest reviews you will ever read in your life. Ok maybe they aren't that good but they are good! :)

One Year Ago

One year ago today Jake asked me to marry him. He took me up on his dirtbike to the top of a mountain in Rexburg where a picnic was laid out with subway sandwiches, my favorite kind of oreos, plastic champagne glasses and a bottle of Martinelli. It was great! We got off the bike and sat down. Before we started eating, Jake reached into the backpack I had been wearing on the bike, pulled out a red ring box, opened it and asked me if I would marry him. I was grinning ear to ear and of course said YES! He put the ring on my finger and we kissed :) Then we ate!

Here are some repeat pictures of the day that I took with my cell phone. Jake's brother Clay was the one who set up the picnic for us and then he hid and took some pictures and a few videos for us. I will post those later, when I get them from Jake haha.

I sure do love this guy!

What We've Been up to Lately

Hey there! Well, again you can see that I have slacked posting on this blog of mine and haven't been telling about all the "adventures" we have been having (don't worry, you're really not missing out on much). So here is an update of all the things we have been doing since the last time you heard from me. :)

So the first thing that we did since I last posted was the 4th of July.
We went to the park to watch some fireworks that the city puts on and here are a few pictures of them.

 Silly Jenna

The only good picture I could get Jake to take

The fireworks that I was able to get decent pictures of. It was a great show!

Next, we went down to visit Jake's family down in Utah. We hadn't been able to get down to see them since we left after our wedding so it was great to see everyone and be able to take a weekend to get away.
Jake and his dad went riding with a boy from his parent's ward while we were there. On their ride Collin caught a lizard and was going to feed it to his dog or whatever so Jake saved it. I named him Lenny

He was fun to play with but we let him go when we left Utah at the mouth of the canyon.
We also were able to have a get together with all of the siblings at Jake's parents house. It was so nice to see everyone again. I got to spend half the day with my Sister-in-Law Michelle. It was nice to get to know her better and vice versa :)

A couple of weeks ago Jake and I took my sister Jenna and her friend Justin to the Snake River Stampede Rodeo. It was so much fun. I hadn't been to the rodeo in years and it was fun to be there again. Even hearing the redundant Snake River Stampede song over and over again. Here are a few pictures of this grand event :)

It was so fun to go with Jenna and her friend and be with Jake. Taking time to go do things together is so nice, especially when we live with my family and don't have a lot of just completely us time :)

Last weekend my family went camping up by McCall. It was way fun! Here are a few pictures of our trip. I didn't take very many pictures but at least there are a few right :P

I love how Megan is being a complete creeper in the background and how Jake's eyes are still mostly closed. He's not big on pictures and so he makes faces. This is the only decent one.

Jenna and I have been busy the last two days. I am working on making a shirt that is nice enough to wear in my Early Field class for this semester. I am going to be going into a classroom and helping the teacher and teaching a few lessons and therefore need to look professional. Only problem is that my nice shirts don't fit that well and I've had them forever and am sick of them. So mom is helping me make a few new nice ones. I am almost done with the first one (the fabric is under the flowers below).
While I have been working on the shirt, mom has been quilting a quilt that I made and Jenna wanted something crafty to do so I pulled up my trusty Pinterest page and looked on my DIY/Crafts board and found a hair bow pattern. We adapted it a little bit because we didn't have all the things we needed for that particular project but I think they turned out quite well! She did another one too but that was after I had already taken pictures of these two. She's so crafty :P

Today Jenna and I decided that we wanted to make some Cinnamon Rolls. It was quite the ordeal but it was lots of fun to make them with her. Here's how they looked and they tasted even better :)

Now I'm sure you are wondering where Megan has been during all of this, she has been on a campout with the ward and has been gone the last couple of days. She's due back today so I'm sure she will have stories to tell!

And that's what we've been up to! :)
