I know it has been forever since I posted anything here so here is the Christmas card letter that I sent out that tells a little about our year!
Merry
Christmas! I wanted to share a little about what has happened this year for our
family! This year in February Jake and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary.
Tyler turned 1 in June and in July, Jake and I both graduated from Brigham
Young University-Idaho. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in University
Studies which is just a basic generals degree. Jake graduated with his
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management.
In August we took a trip to the
Oregon Coast with my family as a graduation present. We spent a week at a
timeshare in Manzanita. It was beautiful and a much needed break after 4
straight semesters of school. We spent time all along Highway 101 on the coast
and got a few souvenirs to bring back with us.
In October Jake was able to find a
job as Assistant Store Manager with the company he did his first internship
with. He works in Idaho Falls for American Construction Supply and Rental which
is a concrete construction company. It was a huge blessing to us to receive
this job because they don’t usually hire people in the fall because business
slows down so much. However, the owner knew Jake and knew that he is an honest
and hardworking employee so he hired him! We were just told that he will be
transferred to the Pocatello store in April and will be promoted to Store
Manager! This is a big blessing because with the promotion there will be a
raise!
In addition to Jake’s job and me
being a stay at home mom, I started my own photography business. I bought a
fancy new camera (which I LOVE!) and I have been building my portfolio and
learning all kinds of new things. I love being able to capture pictures of families
as they grow and giving those memories to the family. I am able to do a couple
of photo shoots a week and add to our family’s income a little bit which makes
me feel great.
Tyler is growing like a weed and
learning new things every day. He amazes me with how much he knows already.
He’s walks all over the place, loves animals and absolutely loves being
outside. When it’s warm we go on bike rides and to the park. Now that it’s
colder, I bundle him up and let him play out on the lawn in front of our apartment
for a few minutes a day. He is such a happy little boy, we can’t imagine life
without him!
I hope you are all having a wonderful time during the holidays, I know we sure are!
